Factoring Trinomials-intro by Wes
Example:
X2 + 24x + 144 X•X=X2 12•12=144 12x•2=24x (X+12)2
- You have to look if the first and last numbers have a perfect square.
- After that, you multiply that variable and the whole number and multiply it by two to see if it is a perfect square.
- Then you just put them into a binomial and square it.
- If it’s not, just factor it by using the guess and check method.
